Celia Baxter - Children's Consultation Lead

Celia has over 30 years experience of working with children and young people. She worked for many years as an Early Years Teacher and then worked in a Child Development Centre, for NCH (now Action for Children), as a tutor in a Further Education College and most recently as a Training Officer delivering and assessing childcare qualifications.
She is married and has 2 grown-up daughters, one nearby and the other in New Zealand. She has one grandchild. She is a rambler (walking not talking), who spends her free time pursuing interests in the great outdoors and in crafts. 
 

Calum Munro – Policy Lead

Calum joined HCF in 2004 after a 28 year career in the Fire Service. During his career he successively had strategic responsibility for Training, Fire Safety and Technical Services. He was the co-founder and is the current Organising Secretary of Highland Cross [www.highlandcross.co.uk] a charity that has raised over three million pounds for social and medical causes in Highland over the past 29 years. He is an independent member of the Educational Appeals Committee for Highland and is the Voluntary Sector representative on the Raigmore Hospital Governance Committee. He is an Emergency First Aid volunteer with the British Red Cross. He has had various roles as an adult in Scouting over the past thirty years. He tries to keep himself fit by cycling and by jogging. He is married with three “grown up” children.

Being listened to makes you feel important. I wouldn’t want to listen to a teacher if she didn’t listen to me.
